ISPhone Quintum® (IQ) Business Solution
For SMEs with existing PABX
The ISPhone Quintum (IQ) Business Solution
is the simplest and most cost-effective method for a small
to medium business to take immediate advantage of the benefits
of Voice-over IP, particularly massive cost savings on their
telephone bill.
Many businesses are still nervous about the
new technology of VoIP and therefore are not ready to fully
commit to a wholly IP based system. The IQ Business Solution
allows customers to maintain their existing telephone system,
including the PABX, whilst routing outbound calls on VoIP
in order to generate significant savings. Many end users have
found savings of more than 50% from their previous traditional
telephone service.
In addition the IQ Business Solution presents
end users with a first step in their evolution to a completely
unified IP network. The future of communications lies in converged
networking, with an eventual union of voice, internet, video
and messaging onto a single IP stream. The IQ Business Solution
moves them closer to this ultimate environment without heavy
upfront costs – gateways start at under $1000 AUD –
while allowing for immense flexibility and scalability.
ISPhone strongly recommends Quintum® gateways.
The Quintum Tenor integrates a gateway, a gatekeeper, and
intelligent call routing and supports QoS all in one solution.
With its MultiPath architecture, the Tenor connects to the
data network through a 10/100 Ethernet interface, the voice
network through either a PBX or phone, and the public switched
telephone network (PSTN). A more intelligent way to implement
VoIP.
Quintum Strengths:
- Select-Net: The Tenor employs
its patented SelectNet ™ Technology to monitor
calls for jitter, packet loss and latency, and can
transparently switch mid-call to the voice network
whenever conditions demand. This ensures high quality
at all times.
- Multi-path Call Routing: The Tenor
can intelligently route calls between the PBX, the
PSTN, and the IP network, to achieve the best combination
of cost and quality. The Tenor can also route calls
over IP to reduce costs, and then transparently
"hop off" to the PSTN, to reach off-net
locations. No other VoIP solution can match this
flexibility.
- Easy Installation: With its Multi-Path
architecture, the Tenor is the only VoIP solution
that can be installed without upgrades to the existing
voice or data networks.
- Reliability: The Tenor is designed
to pass calls through to the existing voice network
in the event of system malfunction—even a
total power failure.
- Packet Saver: With its PacketSaver™
Technology, the Tenor reduces bandwidth consumption
up to 57%, by combining voice packets from several
calls into a single packet to minimize packet overhead.
- NAT-Access: The Tenor VoIP MultiPath
Switch also features a unique technology that allows
it to operate behind NAT-enabled firewalls. The
innovative NATAccess™ solution overcomes the
problem of NAT firewalls not correctly translating
internal IP addresses into public addresses when
a VoIP call is established with an outside party.
